Rollover on Interstate 8 Leaves Four in the Hospital

This past Sunday, the always busy Interstate 8 got even busier when a multi-vehicle crash ended up blocking several lanes of traffic in the afternoon. While the police have not confirmed all the details or named a party responsible, those involved should definitely find a lawyer who is experienced in car accidents.

It was about 2:30 p.m. when the accident happened in Mission Valley on the eastbound lanes of I-8.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at least four vehicles were involved, though it could have been five. One vehicle actually rolled over, though we don’t know if that was the triggering event or simply a scary byproduct of the entire pileup.

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department confirmed that four people had been injured in the accident. Two of them were taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital and the others were transferred to Rady Children’s Hospital. However, the department did not comment on what their condition was.

At first, the accident was bad enough to block several lanes, which only made things more difficult for emergency services. However, as the accident was dealt with, only two had to be closed off, though that’s still a lot. In any case, this speaks to how badly these vehicles must have been damaged if they couldn’t simply be towed away or at least to the side of the road.

As we mentioned earlier, all parties involved should be seeking legal representation ASAP. This is a good example of a time when it pays to already have the number of a qualified attorney. With at least four parties involved, one or two may not get their first choice in terms of a law firm if anyone else contacted them about the accident. It would represent a conflict of interest.

This also isn’t an issue where knowing you’re innocent is a reason not to seek representation. Someone else may think they did nothing wrong either, but have an attorney skilled at making it seem like you’re to blame.
